We’re a husband-and-wife team committed to making every project as perfect for you as we’d want for our own family. Our passion for design and construction runs deep, for years, our idea of a “fun weekend” meant driving through neighborhoods, touring open houses, and admiring every architectural detail.

In 2019, we took on our first remodel, which quickly led to helping close friends and family. Along the way, we saw a few common challenges:

• Difficulty finding trustworthy general contractors

• Projects started without a clear design plan

• Homeowners trying to manage everything themselves, often leading to delays or unfinished work

With 8 years of combined experience in the design-build industry, we noticed ongoing gaps in transparency, and a troubling trend of homeowners being taken advantage of.

What started with a hand-drawn logo and a desire to do things differently has grown into The Home Refinery — a full-service design-build firm committed to redefining the renovation experience. We stay hands-on from start to finish, integrating design with construction to ensure every detail meets our high standards. Unlike other firms, we don’t step away or automate the process. Our commitment is personal, and our goal is always to deliver results that exceed expectations, on time and within budget.

We understand that homeowners go through many seasons in life. Whether you’re expanding your family or building a MIL suite for aging parents, we’re here to help. Our mission is to make these transitions smooth, exciting, and as stress-free as possible. That’s what drives us.
